Ingredients
1 pear
1 banana
stick butter
5 Tbsp gluhwein mix
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of baking dish with butter (rub it on) and lay sliced pears and bananas into the dish (do not layer them). Pour the gluhwein mix evenly over the top of the pears and bananas then sprinkle the brown sugar over the bananas. Bake for 15 minutes or until the pears turn golden brown.

Warm the wine with the gluhwein ingredients and bring to a gentle simmer for 30 seconds. Strain into a heat-proof goblet or mug.

3 cups water
1 lemon, sliced

1 orange, sliced for garnish
Mix water, lemon and spices and simmer for an hour. Strain. Heat but do not boil the red wine. Add wine to hot water mixture. Ladle gluhwein into cups and serve with half a slice of orange.

1/3 Cup of Caster Sugar
3 strips of orange rind
3 strips of lemon rind

Combine all gluhwein ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir over heat until sugar is dissolved and do NOT boil. When mixture begins to simmer gently, allow to simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.

Mix all the gluhwein ingredients together and heat heat in a saucepan but do not boil. Strain as you pour it into a pitcher.

30z/75g sugar (to taste)
1 tsp whole cloves
1 tsp ground cinnamon or stick cinnamon
juice of 1 orange and 1 lemon
Pour wine into a saucepan and add remaining ingredients. Heat until nearly boiling and strain into a warm bowl. Serve warm or hot.

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp whole cloves
1/2 cinnamon stick (broken)
Put broken cinnamon stick and whole cloves into a tea ball and hang into kettle. Pour wine into a kettle and add remaining ingredients. Heat (do not boil) for 30 minutes. Serve this gluhwein warm.
